Looking through the internet I come across sites that might be of interest to members and others, so I thought I would include some details here from time to time and also some links.

Take a look at the following page from my recent visit to Holland.

The first item concerns details of Reigate & Banstead twin town in France - Brunoy. In 2008 a new organ was installed in the church of Saint-Médard. Details can be seen at the organ builder's site - Bertrand Cattiaux - Organ Builder. Other links are http://www.ville-brunoy.fr/ and articles in the town magazine (pages 11 - 15) http://www.ville-brunoy.fr/Download/Magazine/Mag65nov.pdf

Second we have a link to European Cities of Historical Organs - ECHO. ECHO is an association of ten cities in ten EU-countries disposing of precious historic organs, cities where the care of organ-culture plays an important role. It is the predominant aim of ECHO to encourage and foster this care and the historic heritage by a vast number of means and across borders.

Following the recent talk to the East Surrey Organists' Association by Barrie Clark on organ cases, here is a chance to see, and hear, the rather "kooky" cased organ on the Walt Disney Concert Hall which he mentioned to us.

THE WORLD'S LARGEST ORGAN. Now there's a question . . . .

You might like to look at this link to photos and details of the largest organ in the world in Atlantic City USA. Quite amazing - where do you start ?

with photos of it being built !

OR

is it this one?

And what about this as the largest audience at a recital !
